Four of a Family Found Dead in Rangpur Home as Police Probe Murder

Four members of the same family were found dead inside their home in Rangpur city, in a case that police are investigating as a suspected quadruple murder.

The victims were identified as retired teacher Ganapati Chakraborty, his wife Pritilata, their daughter Agami and their son Ayush, a Class 5 student. Their bodies were discovered at the family's home in the Machuapara-Kamal Kachhna area of Rangpur city.

Bodies Found Inside Locked Home

Police went to the house after relatives became concerned when the family's phones were switched off. The house was locked when officers arrived, and police had to break it open to enter.

Inside, they found the four family members dead.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths immediately raised suspicion of foul play. Police, along with investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Detective Branch (DB), began examining the scene and gathering information about the family.
