Story tips, corrections, right of reply, interview requests — anything about the journalism. Read the note on sending securely below before you send something sensitive.

General enquiries, syndication and translation, partnerships, privacy requests, and the merely curious.

Sending something sensitive

Ordinary email is not confidential. It passes through your provider and ours, and both keep records. If what you are sending could put you at risk, please take these seriously:

  • Do not send it from a work account, a work device, or a work network. Your employer can usually read all three.
  • Use Signal from a personal phone if you can, and ask us for a number before sending anything substantive.
  • Tell us what protection you need before you send the material, not after. We can honour an agreement we made; we cannot un-receive a document.

We do not ask sources to identify themselves to us before deciding whether to talk. If you want to test how we handle something, send us a question first.

Right of reply

If we have written about you or your organisation and you believe we got it wrong, write to editor@tbb.news. Tell us which sentence is wrong and what the correct fact is. Our corrections policy commits us to a response and sets out what we do when a correction is warranted — and when it is not.
